A Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer with a knack for pairing sunny, hook-driven electropop with soulful R&B, Lincoln Jesser grew up in La Quinta, California, soaking up the sounds of Daft Punk, the Strokes, and the Killers. He fronted the indie rock band Technicolor Wolves while still in high school, but soon found that EDM and electropop were where his real talents lay. In 2012, while attending college at USC, he hooked up with L.A.-based music management firm and content owner Indie-Pop and released his debut EP, New Blood. A flurry of high-energy singles and remixes followed, culminating in the release of his first full-length outing, Modern Color, in 2014. The Casa Mirage EP, which featured the hit “Between These Lines,” arrived in 2016, and the following year Jesser issued a trio of singles, “Right by You,” “Tiny Universe,” and “Somebody Will,” the latter of which featured vocalist Gabrielle Current. ~ James Christopher Monger
