Lee Knox is a talented singer, songwriter, musician, and author who aims to produce quality music relevant to the world today, but with a hint of the classics from yesterday. A native of Mooresville, NC, his love for music began at the age of six when he began taking piano lessons. In addition to being gifted with the piano, he also learned to play the saxophone at a young age. Since 1996, he has written thousands of songs expressing the rollercoaster ride of life and showing the value of love regardless of the genre. His musical style is influenced by artists such as Musiq Soulchild, Brian McKnight, Tye Tribbett, and Kurt Franklin.
Lee formed Knox It Music Publishing Company to establish an international company centered specifically on catering to the musical needs of artists and or publishing companies around the world. Since its formation, Lee has produced original music for himself and other artists in various countries and in various genres. His self-produced album “Finally” won “Best Album” with the Akademia Music Awards for February 2016 in the genre of R&B / Soul.
Lee is dedicated to writing music with a message. He believes that heartfelt melodies and infectious hooks should be relatable to all listeners as they engage their imagination to flow with the music.
