La Vela Puerca

Uruguayan La Vela Puerca got involved in the local rock scene in the late ’80s, making its debut with an album called Deskarado, released by independent Obligado Producciones. Soon the ska/reggae band had the opportunity to become an opening act for popular groups such as los Piojos, la Renga, and Todos Tus Muertos. Later, producer Gustavo Santaolalla helped La Vela Puerca to get a record deal with Universal. ~ Drago Bonacich
