KOM started playing guitar at age 12, and later studied music theory at Chapman University. A fascination with harmonic progressions and the way chords relate to one another lead to the study of jazz and a deep understanding of chordal progressions. The "circle of fifths" enlightened her to the infinite number of chordal combinations that go into constructing good music. KOM wrote a number of progressions on guitar based on what she had learned, but found that her interest lied in seeking out those individuals who possess a natural talent for song writing. Since Breaks, House, Funk, Bass, and sometimes Trance are what she is drawn to, she spends countless hours attempting to find the rare individuals who have combined a basic understanding of composition, with the knowledge and skills of the electronic music medium. To me, nothing is more beautiful than when those two worlds come together. She feels it is her personal responsibility, to draw out such individuals and promote them to the best of her ability.
