Sobre esse artista

Georgia-based singer/songwriter KIDD G made a run at the Billboard Country Songs chart with his breakout 2019 track “Dirt Road,” a slice-of-life country-pop tale set to sparse hip-hop beats. He released his debut EP the following year and followed it up with 2021′s full-length Down Home Boy, an album that blurred the borders between country, hip-hop, and pop.
Born Jonathan Horne in the small town of Hamilton, Georgia, KIDD G became a rising star on various social media platforms with his earnest mix of country storytelling and rap swagger. Just 16 years old when his track “Dirt Road” started gaining some viral traction, he released it the following year to streaming platforms as part of the six-song EP Teenage Dream, helping the track reach Billboard’s Top Country Songs chart. Other 2020 singles by KIDD G included “Letter,” “Sorry,” and “Imma Ball.” He continued to play to both sides of his sound with 2021 collaborations like “Teenage Dream 2″ with rapper Lil Uzi Vert and “Love Isn’t Real” with country singer Leah Marie Mason. His debut album, Down Home Boy, encapsulated his country-pop-rap triumvirate, and at the end of the year, he offered up an expanded version with four additional songs. KIDD G returned in early 2022 with the YNW BSlime collaboration “Left Me” and the solo single “People Talk.” ~ Timothy Monger
