Swedish mezzo-soprano, born 26 November 1965 in Stockholm.

She is educated at Trinity College of Music in London and at the National Opera Studio. She won the Cardiff Singer of the World competition in 1995, which immediately led to an international career. She made her debut at Metropolitan in 1999 as Varvara in Katja Kabanova, followed by Olga in Eugen Onegin, Siebel in Faust and Rosina in Barberaren in Sevilla.
