Juice WRLD rose to fame with introspective lyrics and melodic production, blending influences from Travis Scott, Post Malone, and Chicago drill. His 2018 debut, Goodbye & Good Riddance, featuring “Lucid Dreams,” made him a breakout star. His 2019 album, A Death Race for Love, debuted at No. 1, but months later, he tragically passed away at age 21.
Born Jarad Higgins in 1998, he started as Juice TheKidd, later becoming Juice WRLD. His early singles “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are the Same” led to a deal with Interscope Records. He soon collaborated with Ellie Goulding, BTS, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, landing another Top Ten hit with “Bandit.”
In December 2019, Juice suffered a medical emergency and passed away. At the time, both of his albums were still charting. His posthumous releases, including Legends Never Die (2020) and The Party Never Ends (2024), continued his legacy, featuring Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and Fall Out Boy.
