It took a while for this Spanish MC to get a career underway. Although he had been involved with the Madrid hip-hop scene since the late ’90s, he only managed to release an album under the moniker DharmaKarma, made with his friend Darmo, in 2002. A 2005 demo with Sholo Truth and a 2008 street album with Tony Calamone followed. It was only after he founded the independent hip-hop label A13 with Darmo in 2009 that Nieto was able to release his first proper solo album, Categoría. Assisted by Darmo and the A13 crew, Nieto followed up with Maleza in 2012. ~ Mariano Prunes
