Sobre este artista

Memphis rap producer Hitkidd brings his own personality and a modernized touch to the booming 808s and skeletal, tension-heavy beats his city is known for. Influenced by his South Memphis upbringing and the sounds of ’90s rappers from his hometown, he slowly built a massive repertoire, crafting beats for artists like Bladee, Baby Tate, Megan Thee Stallion, and many others while releasing mixtapes of his own like 2020′s Hitkidd for President: 2020. “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” his 2022 collaboration with GloRilla, emerged as a viral hit and was included on his 2023 release Renegade. Further releases include 2024′s Hitkidd for President and 2025′s Hipkidd (with Da Hipster). Hitkidd was born Anthony Lorenzo Holmes, Jr. in 1995. He was making beats by age 14 and never looked back, expanding his passion for music from a hobby to a more substantial career by crafting instrumentals for Big Boogie, Lil $tunna, Big Mota, and other Memphis rappers. While working primarily as a producer, Hitkidd also released mixtapes of his own like 2018′s Mastermind, 2019′s Masterplan, and 2020′s Hitkidd for President: 2020. His reputation as an imaginative producer led to higher-profile clients, and he was eventually making tracks for big-name artists like Duke Deuce, Baby Tate, Co Cash, BlocBoy JB, and others. Hitkidd produced several songs on mainstream superstar Megan Thee Stallion’s 2021 compilation album Something for Thee Hotties. In 2022, he scored a viral hit with the booming beat for GloRilla’s unhinged anthem for the recently single, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).” The anthemic, party-ready track came out in late April 2022 and had been streamed millions of times within a few weeks of its release. The accompanying video was viewed over 16 million times in the same short time span. Hitkidd subsequently made singles with Gloss Up, Slimeroni, K Carbon, and others. Many of these tracks were featured on Renegade, Hitkidd’s 2023 release showcasing Memphis talent. C.A.S.H (Can’t Always Stay Humble), with Co Cash, appeared in 2024, as well as a different Hitkidd for President mixtape, this time including guests like Xavier Wulf and DaBaby.
