Legendary salsa group from Venezuela Guaco started playing traditional folklore in the 1960s, later turning to tropical style. As the band was getting involved in the local scene, a growing number of followers made them one of the most popular acts all over the country. Led by singer Gustavo Aguado, the 22-piece act had the opportunity to go beyond Venezuelan frontiers while releasing its music in the U.S. and Europe in the late ’90s. ~ Drago Bonacich
