Born 8/15 in Eastpointe ATL as “Tonycortez Griswold” & raised in the Midwest - at the age of four, my mother enrolled me into the study of piano composition and music theory.

And by the age of 8, I was sheet reading notations, competing in recitals, and performing intermediate-advanced classical pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Joplin, Chopin, and many other renowned musicians.

I was a recognized child maestro.

But as I grew older, I became callous in the world and neglected my antiquated renaissance ability. No one in my Detroit circle cared about Tchaikovsky, Hadyn or concertos. It was all about Tupac, Biggie, Wu-Tang clan, and making beats.

So, I shelved it. Hid it. Despised it. Classical piano felt useless to me in the 20th Century.

Attending the same High School as Royce da 5'9, is where I met Bryan "Pep" Johnson (Producer of Netflix, Eminem, D12, 50 Cent, Snoop Dog and many more). It was in Pep's basement where I started regularly producing and recording hip hop music.

In 2005 & 2015, I auditioned for Shawn Barron/Dara Mcintosh @ Atlantic Records - in Manhattan NY & Pasadena CA receiving a favorable response. But due to various family trials and personal convictions I couldn't proceed in that direction.

I quit pursuing a hip-hop rap deal to wait for a clearer musical vision.

That vision manifested in the summer of 2022 following my mother's death. Immediately succeeding her departure, an unction came over me to create music!

So, indebted to my mom's investment she imparted into my life, it's out of homage, gratitude, a renewed passion for music, and an insatiable desire to reach souls that I blow the dust off the keyboard to become an official... MUSIC COMPOSER!
