Bu sanatçı hakkında

Vocalist Grace Weber is a soulful performer with a sound that touches upon hip-hop, R&B, and gospel. After a handful of independent releases, she gained widespread notice as a co-writer and guest singer on Chance the Rapper’s Grammy Award-winning 2016 album Coloring Book. A 2018 deal with Capitol Records further elevated her profile and she spent the next few years issuing popular singles like “More Than Friends” and “Mercy.” After the 2020 EP How Did We Get Here, she again teamed up with Chance the Rapper, who appeared on her 2021 single “Thru the Fire.”
A native of Milwaukee, Weber first began singing around age ten, and soon thereafter joined the Central City Youth Gospel Choir of Milwaukee. This experience led to various performance opportunities, including appearances on the television shows Showtime at the Apollo (at age 16) and The Oprah Winfrey Show. After high school, she honed her skills studying music performance at New York University, and eventually released two independently produced albums. In 2015, Weber began a fruitful creative partnership with hip-hop producers, songwriters, and instrumentalists Nate Fox, Nico Segal, and Peter Cottontale. That association led to notable collaborations with Towkio, Francis & the Lights, and rapper Boogie, with whom she co-produced and sang on the tracks “Still Thirsty” and “Prideful.” From there, she earned Grammy recognition for co-writing and singing on the track “All We Got” on Chance the Rapper’s highly acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning Coloring Book. In 2017 Weber shifted focus to her own solo work, once again collaborating with Fox, Segal, and Cottontale on the singles “More Than Friends” and “Elated.” A deal with Capitol Records led to a string of 2018 singles including “Space Jam” and the Vic Mensa collaboration “Mercy.” Weber remained prolific over the next two years with 2020′s How Did We Get Here EP and singles like “Ghost” and “Feels Like Heaven.” She also kept close ties with Chance the Rapper, who invited her on tour and guested on her 2021 track “Thru the Fire.” ~ Matt Collar
