Gianluca Nobile was born in 1982, he grew up at the minesite Winterslag in Genk. At young age he came in touch with the Hip Hop culture. In 1998 he started writing graffiti and lyrics. His love for rapping was bigger than graffiti, so he started focusing on his lyrics more.
After a few shows he noticed more people started to like his style as they asked for more. Driven by his passion and the motivation of the people around him he chose the name Don Luca. Together wit his brother DJ Ozei (RIP) and MC Souar he formed a crew called ‘ODC’. This formation broke because of different opinions about their music. Don Luca kept the name ODC and started working with Vijftig, Black and Canabio. After their work on the L-Burg compilation, ODC became well known in the Belgian Hip Hop scene.
Don Luca started producing and worked together with BraveStarz, Zuiderzonen and 3600. At the end of 2003 ‘ODC’ fell apart. 3600 was successful, but after a while they also fell apart. After this, Don Luca formed the group N.O.M with DJ Il Mago Peppe of ‘3600’.
N.O.M won a price for young musicians at the TAZ festival and Don Luca became finalist at Limbomania. In januari 2007 N.O.M. released their debut album ‘Op Eige Krachte’. Now Don Luca works as a producer under the name 13Produkties.
The last years, he produced for many artists and theaters. His most recent work is his solo album ‘C Mij Da’.
