Georges Perin
Born in Greece (1978) the Greek-French Georges Perin (Γιώργος Περίν) has been a funk-soul-r&b vocalist and recording artist since 1994. As a member of numerous musical bands (Kashmir, Nasa Funk, Basement Freaks, Cayetano live band among others) and through diverse music collaborations he has performed more than 1000 gigs in various countries next to some of the biggest names of the funk/blues scene. Founder and owner of WeFunk! records, he still performs as a recording artist, songwriter, harmonica and talkbox player, having achieved airplay from some of the biggest radio stations (BBC1-UK) and TV shows worldwide (NBC-USA). He performed as a member of support groups next to James Brown, the herbalizer, Dub Fx and many more and shared the stage with artists like David Garibaldi (Tower of Power) and Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones). Mostly known in Greece for singing the chorus of the hip hop hit “oti ehoume eimaste emeis” (Voria asteria) he also performed lately alongside the Greek rock band “MPLE” and shared the stage (as an orchestra singer) with many Greek artists like Thodoris Voutsikakis, Nantia Boule, Nina Lotsari and many more. He released a duet in 2020 with Ashley Slater (Freak Power), been featured on Mix Mag, Soul Mag, Athens voice and many other established press & digital media and gained credits from artists like Stereo Mc’s, Bob Sinclar, Kraak & Smaak & the Funk Hunters among others.
