Gabriel Pierné

French composer, conductor, and organist (born 16 August 1863 in Metz - died 17 July 1937 in Ploujean).
He became organist at the Basilica of from 1890 to 1898, succeeding . He was also linked with 's concert series from 1903, becoming chief conductor of the from 1910 to 1933.
