Fritz Brun was born in Lucerne, Switzerland, August 18, 1878. He was a student of Franz Wüllner at the conservatory at Cologne (Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln), and studied piano and theory there until 1902. He died November 29, 1959 in Grosshöchstetten, Switzerland.
