Erich Kunzel (born March 21, 1935, in New York City - died September 2, 2009, in Swan’s Island, Hancock County, Maine) was a German-American conductor.

Kunzel studied at Dartmouth College, Harvard and Brown University. From 1965 to 1977 he was principal conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and then in 1977 changed to the newly created Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.
