Emmy Lindström

Swedish composer and violinist, born 22 May 1984 in Linköping's Berga parish in Östergötland.

On her own initiative, she was allowed to start playing the violin at the age of five, and she wrote her first composition at the age of eight. After six years in Linköping's Music Classes from 1994 to 2000, she spent three years at De Geergymnasiet in Norrköping from 2000 to 2003. She then continued to the Academy of Music at the University of Gothenburg and the Royal Academy of Music (KMH) in Stockholm for master's studies in violin. Lindström also began studying composition at KMH during this time, but chose to discontinue these studies shortly thereafter.
