About this artist

Dorrough emerged from the Southern club scene with "Ice Cream Paint Job," a bounce hit that breached the national pop charts. Born Dorwin Demarcus Dorrough, the Dallas native pursued basketball and rap music with equal fervor. His music career became a priority after he enrolled at Prairie View A&M University and his single with former group Prime Time Click, "Do the Muscle," became a local sensation. Subsequent regional hits like "Halle Barry" and "Walk That Walk" led to a deal with major-indie E1 Music (formerly known as Koch). In 2009, he issued Dorrough Music, which featured guest appearances from Texas stars Lil' Flip and Slim Thug. The following year brought a new club hit, "Get Big," and an album with the same name.
