About this artist

Born and raised in the slums of the Philippines, Dixie's journey to success has been marked by hardship, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to her craft.

She looked up to artists like Kitty Kallen, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, and Sarah Vaughn.

She started as a lounge singer when she was just 17, and then became a band vocalist when she was 21. Over the years, she traveled and performed in different countries like Dubai, Japan, and Indonesia, and all over her birth country, becoming a well-known and beloved performer in the local music scene.

Despite her early success, Dixie eventually took a break from music and stopped performing for 13 years. It wasn't until she was recently heartbroken that she was inspired to return to music and share her experiences with the world. She came to Andrew Hall with words, and together they created "Broken Glass," a beautiful pop ballad that showcases Dixie's exceptional vocals and lyrical prowess.

Throughout her career, Dixie has been a jack of all trades, a true Renaissance woman who has excelled in everything she's put her mind to. She had a scholarship from elementary to high school and was a member of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, a foundation for America's forgotten children in the Philippines.

Despite the challenges she's faced along the way, Dixie remains committed to her craft and her fans, always striving to be an inspiration and a source of hope and healing in the world. With her powerful voice and her unwavering determination, she is poised to take the music world by storm once again.
