Deraj

Jared Jackson, formally known as artist Deraj enjoys making timeless music for us to enjoy .Originally from New Orleans, Deraj enjoys Melodic Rap, R&B, and Pop. What makes Deraj so different from other artists is that he is so well rounded. Not only does Deraj touch on different genres, he also plays the piano, drums, and guitar. While many other artists need producers, mixers, etc. Deraj can do it all, from producing to mixing and mastering his own songs. This gives Deraj the control and hands on experience with his music.

Since Deraj was a young child he knew would become an artist. Deraj grew up in a very musical family and it soon rubbed off on him. Deraj’s first love was the piano. He began playing at the age of five and continued playing for his church’s youth choir. Deraj has always took his music seriously, but began acting on it at the age of 15.

Because Deraj touches on three main genres, Pop, R&B, and Rap it inspired his album title. “Tri-Polar”.” Tri-Polar features Deraj’s best sounds of all three genres. Deraj’s goal in the music industry is to be a blessing and inspiration to others so they can work towards their passion and wakeup doing something they love while getting paid for it. Deraj says, “There are different ways to get to the top of a mountain, and the only people not getting to the top are the ones running around telling everyone else they are going the wrong way. Deraj wants everyone to know if God puts desire in your heart, he has given you everything you need to accomplish it.
