Davy began DJing in the early 90’s following his first visit to The Kronk in Dunfermline. He quickly established himself in Scotland due to his ability to make a connection with the crowd, build a groove and not rely on “big tunes” to work a dancefloor. He went on to become resident at The Citrus Club, and City 2, before moving on to Yip Yap at Le Belle Angele, one of the seminal Edinburgh house music clubs of the 90’s, where the focus was much more on the resident DJs building a rapport with the crowd (with the occasional guest DJ) rather than the normal approach at the time of bringing guest DJs to clubs every week.
Davy’s reputation spread from his Yip Yap residency with guest appearances at the legendary Sub Club, The Tunnel and elsewhere across the country, and he has also produced and released a number of tracks and EPs on a variety of record labels over the past few years.
