David Neres Campos (Brazilian Portuguese: ; born March 3rd, 1997 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Portuguese Liga NOS side S.L. Benfica. He previously played for his home team São Paulo FC, AFC Ajax, Shakhtar Donetsk, and the Brazilian national team.
Starting his career in his hometown at São Paulo FC, before moving to Ajax in Amsterdam helping his side to finish as runners-up in the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League season, losing to Manchester United 2–0 in the final, in his first season with the club. HIs maiden season saw Neres winning the double (league and cup competition), The following year they advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League where they were eliminated by eventual runners-up Tottenham Hotspur.
In 2020, Neres partnered with fellow Brazilian teammate Danilo Pereira Da SIlva to release the song 'Bem-vindo Antony' welcoming Ajax new signing Antony who had joined Ajax from the same club as Neres in the Summer transfer window.
