Chris Newman

Guitarist, fingerstyle acoustic guitarist and folk musician. Has performed with numerous other folk artists (but not only) in the past and has co-written and adapted the famous song "The Oldest Swinger In Town". He has played guitar and bass on various records and owns his own studio "Old Bridge Studios", Ilkley, Yorkshire. He has also worked in the production of various records and CDs.

He has teamed up with a member of the musical family - The Caseys (Nollaig Casey is married to Irish guitarist Arty McGlynn) and his wife is called Máire Ní Chathasaigh (the irish form of the name Casey). He plays both in a duo with his wife and in a quartet with the two family couples.
