About this artist

Russian Drum n Bass artist.

Chaoz had been in love with drum'n'bass since early 1997. The catalysts were "Sprite - Moving Instinct" a CD distributed with "Ptiuch" magazine (which is still his favorite publication) and "Storm" a radio-show hosted by DJ Groove and DJ Dan on "Radio Station 106.8 FM". Soon after Chaoz decided to start producing his own tracks and after playing them to his peers received a lot of positive feedback.
In 1998 Chaoz organized the internet music project "Ruff Engine" which consisted of him, Capsid (formerly known as Crab) and Petersburg`s very own Zyz and Pirj. Then with the Addition of two more members the outfit went live taking the show around the clubs of St Petersburg.

He did some promotion business in Lipetsk trying to move on drum'n'bass and other kinds of electronic dance music. In 2000 two of his tracks "Oedipus" and "Life Data" were signed to appear in the "Drum'n'bass Sector" CD compilation (published by Drums Republic Rec.). Later jazzy-downtempo track "Belly Petting" appeared in "Mousson" CD (10p.m. Rec.). "Oedipus" was a featured track in "Up & Coming Producers" section on a well-known web-site "Drum'n'bass Arena". Chaoz had received hundreds of complimentary reviews from many fans of the style from all around the planet. He has also participated in many dnb-parties in Moscow and other cities of Russia. He played alongside such luminaries as Kemal & Rob Data, Nicky Blackmarket, Sta & Paul B.

Chaoz collaborated with many musicians from Russia, UK, Germany and USA. He's working out his own style and is receiving solid support from fans of drum and bass as well as some of the top flight producers and DJ`s.
