Detroit rapper Cash Kidd spits like a young Lil Wayne with boastful, serpentine rhymes packed with metaphor and simile. Representing the 6 Mile area, Cash Kidd is also part of the M-Block crew, whose members regularly appear on his releases. His first mixtape, Bebe Kidd, arrived in 2013. The effort featured “On My Mama,” which went on to rack up four million views on YouTube. His debut LP, Rookie of the Year, was released in 2015, featuring guests like Vandyke T Oney, Motown Ty, and Rocaine. His next mixtape, Just Because, was issued in 2016. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
