Cadence Weapon

Cadence Weapon is one of Canada's most puzzling and promising new talents. His raps eschew literal meaning for collages of imagery and pop culture references, while his production is a genreless miasma that props electro embellishments over fractured hip-hop beats. To that extent, Cadence falls into the same school as the anticon emcees and the fringe element of Los Angeles' Project Blowed scene. The style is more or less acommercial, but Cadence has been able to claim a patch of grass for himself in hip-hop's left field.
