About this artist

An anonymous singer, songwriter, and producer armed with a ukulele and plenty of pop smarts, BoyWithUke became a viral alt-pop hitmaker with the release of his 2021 debut album, Melatonin Dreams. Based out of Massachusetts and inspired by the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Milky Chance, and Dominic Fike, little is known about the social media star, who uses an opaque face shield adorned with LED eyes to conceal his identity. Producing all of his songs himself at home on his media tablet, BoyWithUke’s confessional, lo-fi pop songs combine his trusty uke with pitched vocal harmonies and electronic beats. After the release of Melatonin Dreams, he issued a steady string of singles, as well as the EP Trouvaille and the full-length Fever Dreams, the latter of which included the viral hit “Two Moons.” He found mainstream success with his 2021 single “Toxic,” which garnered millions of streams and caught the attention of Republic. The label quickly added the young artist to its roster, and more hits followed in 2022, including “Long Drives” and the Blackbear-assisted “IDGAF.” Both cuts appeared on his third long-player, Serotonin Dreams. ~ James Christopher Monger
