A native of Upper Manhattan’s East Harlem (aka Spanish Harlem) neighborhood, hardcore rapper Bodega Bamz, supported by his engineer and manager brother Ohla, scrapped his way to gaining notice amid New York’s underground rap scene of the early 2010s. Born Nathaniel DeLaRosa, Bodega Bamz captured attention in 2012 with the mixtape Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z., on which he was joined by A$AP Ferg, Flatbush Zombies, and Joell Ortiz, among many others. A focal member of the all-Latino Tanboys crew, Bodega Bamz later connected with the Martinez Brothers for the tense and cinematic Sunday Service. His album Sidewalk Exec, produced entirely by V. Don, was released in 2015. ~ Andy Kellman
