Have you ever wondered where that song came from? Was it an old record?
A radio broadcast? An obscure compilation of your favorite music genre
from your CD collection? Maybe you heard it at a concert and wanted to
hear it again. Bobcat is a one-man-band like no other. Drawing
inspiration from the likes of garage rock, soul music, power-pop, rhythm
and blues, rockabilly, punk rock, psychobilly, new wave, and indie rock,
this one-man band takes the notion one step further with ornate
arrangements with minimal accompaniment.
When you see this act, you will wonder how one person can produce a
sound so large with just a bass drum and snare at his feet, a tambourine
and shaker wrapped around his ankles, guitar in hands, a few pedals and
a microphone singing some well thought out arrangements of his mostly
original material. Having experience playing with such musical
luminaries as The Arkhams, Amor Obscur, Johnny Carlevale, and the Rolling
Rins, Mister Action and the Boss Guitars, Seth Kess and the Black-Market
Band, The Devil Spades, Purczach, The Slanderin, and Los Gatos Locos,
there is a lot brought to the table by just one musician. A singer,
songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and lyricist, this act says it all.
The selection of covers is equally as impressive as the originals.
Alongside a list of original music over 3 hours long, you will also hear
one-man-band covers of various Beatles, Kinks, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino,
Johnny Burnette and the Rock n Roll Trio, Dale Hawkins, Smokey Robinson
and the Miracles, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Dave
Clark Five, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Little Richard, Elvis Costello,
The Easybeats, The Coasters, The Clovers, The Sonics, The Ramones,
Weezer, Nirvana, Dionne Warwick, The Cars, Cheap Trick, Badfinger,
Flamin’ Groovies, Sam and Dave, Nick Curran, and Fastball that can
entertain you all night!
Trust your ears and enjoy the music of Bobcat.
