Blackboxx

Born in Scotland, Niall MacDonald started to play bass at a young age leading to a strong interest in electronic and hip-hop music. Moving to Edinburgh to study music allowed him to further hone his production style and a debut EP release with UK bass label Slime Recordings quickly followed. Further releases on Rotterdams ‘Fokuz Recordings’ helped keep momentum while gaining many positive write ups in international publications such as Mixmag. Blackboxx then began a weekly DJ residency in Edinburgh’s infamous Sneaky Pete’s venue helping to further cement his signature layered textured sound.
