About this artist

The Vancouver-based emo/pop-punk outlet for guitarist/vocalist Tyler Zanon, Youth Fountain pulls no punches in the delivery of personal angst-drenched lyrics and punk melodies. He first garnered wider attention with the project’s 2019 debut, Letters to Our Former Selves, before returning with 2021′s Keepsakes & Reminders.
Zanon originally started out as a solo artist under the name Bedroom Talk in 2012. He wrote songs for a few years before meeting Cody Muraro through Vancouver’s music scene, and they formed a duo to work on his previously written material. In 2017, they released their debut single together, “Grinding Teeth.” The pair changed their name to Youth Fountain in 2018 prior to the release of their eponymous EP on Pure Noise Records. The label arranged numerous tours, where they would be joined on-stage by Tim Creviston (bass) and Andrew Miliking (drums). Their debut album, Letters to Our Former Selves, saw release in 2019. Following the release of Letter to Our Former Selves — Acoustic EP, Zanon found himself as a solo artist following the departure of co-vocalist Muraro in mid-2020. He returned with Youth Fountain’s sophomore full-length, 2021′s Keepsakes & Reminders. The short concert set Live at Monarch arrived the next year. ~ Liam Martin
