About this artist

The London-based rock & roll band Warmduscher formed in 2014 with a line-up that includes several members of notable London acts. The band is fronted by the Stetson-clad Clams Baker, Jr. of Paranoid London, backed by Fat White Family members “The Saulcano” (Saul Adamczewski) and Lightnin’ Jack Everett, along with Insecure Men’s “Mr. Salt Fingers Lovecraft” (Ben Romans-Hopcraft), and Paranoid London’s “The Witherer” (aka “Little Whiskers” aka Quinn Whalley). The band’s first album, the wildly boisterous Khaki Tears, appeared in 2015 via Trashmouth records, and was followed by a pair of singles in 2018. The tracks were produced by Dan Carey (Kate Tempest, Bat for Lashes, the Kills) who would go on to produce their sophomore effort, Whale City, which was released via the Leaf Label later that year. When the Whale City sessions were over, Adamczewski left the group to focus on Insecure Men, a band led by him and Romans-Hopcraft. With Romans-Hopcraft choosing to work with both bands, and Adam J Harmer joining as “Cuddles aka The Duchess aka Quicksand,” Warmduscher recorded the slick yet chaotic “Midnight Dipper” in early 2019. This became the lead single for their third album, Tainted Lunch, which contained features from Iggy Pop and Kool Keith. Continuing the group’s self-proclaimed fusion of “funk, punk, hip-hop, and lounge rock,” Tainted Lunch was released on the Leaf Label later that year. ~ Bekki Bemrose & David Crone
