About this artist

London-based Electronic Art Pop artist Psyrena aka Madeleine Wise offers a unique mix of electronica, cinematic scores and pop music. Blessed with a voice that can soothe or cut like a knife, she is both artist and storyteller, relating life's beauty and pain through her music, fables and imagery.

Psyrena champions womanhood and diversity. Her tri-lingual upbringing instilled a love for different cultures, shown in her festive EP "Psyrena's Christmas" (2018) featuring seven traditional songs sung in seven different languages. She revealed her darker side with follow-up EP "Fallen Angel" (2019), part 1 of a forthcoming musical triptych.

Now entering Part II Psyrena embraces the light. After the success of her single “Rainbows & Unicorns”, an electronic adventure into her inner magical psychedelic world, as shown in the amazing fully-animated video, she now embarks on her 8-bit masterpiece “Jedi Master” forming part of her next album “Quarantella Rockefella” released this year.

With creative partner Yak Bondy she wrote and recorded the track "Dos and Don’ts" for the Original Motion Picture BLISS! (2016) directed by Rita Osei, scored by Ivor Novello composer Hélène Muddiman and conducted by Eimear Noone, the first ever female orchestra leader performing at the Oscars Award ceremony 2020.

Her production work is regularly featured on BBC, adult swim & Cartoon Network.

"She created the perfect landscape, I was drawn into her world." La Roux (2019)

"For the nostalgic who wants superstar references, it’s potentially like Björk meets Laurie Anderson with some reminiscence of Morcheeba. Deserves a listen, or two or three ..." the MNGR (2019)
