Low Hum

Low Hum is the contemplative synth pop project of songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Collin Desha. He played guitar and synths for Los Angeles indie rock group Vanaprasta before the majority of the band, including Desha, rebooted as Sun Drug and released an eponymous EP in 2015. Desha began releasing more synth-based music under his solo handle in 2016 for Hit City U.S.A., and later co-produced Low Hum’s debut EP with drummer/engineer Jules De Gasperis. Indebted to the steady dance grooves and tone of the more brooding side of ’80s post-punk, Low Hum’s self-titled debut EP saw release by Chain Letter Collective in early 2018. ~ Marcy Donelson
