About this artist

Known for his use of three turntables while DJ’ing, his drum’n’bass releases on labels such Valve, Hospital, and his own Shogun Audio label, Ed Keeley released his first 12″ single — “Critical Mass,” as Kinnetix — in 1998. Otherwise known as Friction, the Brighton, England native released around a couple dozen singles during the 2000s and early 2010s, including collaborations with K-Tee, Aquasky, and Skream. He also put together about a dozen mix albums for several labels, highlighted by Next Level 2 (Shogun Audio, 2006), The Shogun Assassins (Shogun Audio, 2008), Mixed…Drum & Bass (Ministry of Sound, 2010), and Fabriclive 70 (Fabric, 2013). ~ Andy Kellman
