DIMAS (Official Account)

About this artist

DIMAS is the Philippines’ definitive bass music producer. Signed under Emoji Records PH, he has built a name for himself as your go-to guy for neck breaking, hard hitting DJ sets, combining his love for dubstep, riddim, trap, moombahton, Miami booty bass and hiphop into an experience that’s sure to leave your body sore for weeks.
Not having the best of starts in life, music was his go-to thing. For every emotion felt and situation experienced, it was the saving grace which has paved to him pursuing his passion in electronic dance music production. He was first introduced to dubstep via a few friends from the UK, and that's where his love for the genre grew, continuing to create the sort of stuff no commercial music lover would appreciate in his own country. Mainly influenced by the biggest names in the international bass music scene, namely Skrillex, Getter, MUST DIE!, Spag Heddy, Zomboy and many others, he carries a distinctly much harder and more aggressive style which is not easily emulated in local shores, thereby creating his own identity as a music producer.
Under his former moniker Mistah NerF, he was included in a digital label based in Japan, BEATS 4 DJS RECORDS (now inactive), and has also attained some relevance in the industry through a collaborative effort with local producers Curse & Bless and TheoMartel for creating an EDM-ized version of Smart Telecommunications' "Jump In" theme. As of late 2015, DIMAS has created music for local music industry giant Star Music PH of ABS CBN, specifically tracks performed by Matteo Guidicelli (2) and Enchong Dee. DIMAS also recently released two original dubstep tracks under UK-based label Insync Records, “IDGAMF” and “Eternally” featuring Kate Wild. He has also played for a number of prestigious clubs and events in the Philippines, such as Club BeLow Makati, URBN QC, Chaos Manila, Revel Rousers, The Ampersand Baguio, Dinagyang Invasion 2017 and Emoji Records’ bass-centric bi-monthly event BASS N BACON.
Throughout his DJing experiences, he has always remained fervent and passionate in his appreciation for bass music & it shows in each of his sets, even when he goes a little more open-format than usual. Now that the age of heavy beats and rhythmic chaos has dawned upon us, there is one name to look to when it comes to a wild, headbanging night --- DIMAS.
