Damon Dash

Damon "Dame" Anthony Dash (born May 3, 1971 in Harlem, New York), is an American entrepreneur, record executive, film producer, director and occasional actor.

He is best known as the co-founder of , along with Jay-Z and Kareem Burke.

Dash is now the founder of Damon Dash Music Group and its parent company DD172, which includes its subsidiary label BluRoc Records and management/production/publishing label Splash Entertainment. He has also expanded to film and television production with the creation of Dame Dash Studios (formerly Dash Films) through a $50 million partnership with Canadian movie giant Lionsgate. Dash has also indulged in fashion with the formation in 2013 of Poppington Clothing (named after his girlfriend's dog's nickname), but Poppington Clothing was not the first time Dash got involved in clothing; he created Rocawear with Jay-Z in 1999 (Jay-Z brought Dash out of his stake in Rocawear in 2004 for over $130 million).

Previously, he has also engaged in the formation of his own production/management firms Dame Dash Productions and Dame Dash Entertainment.
