Initially, Ripp came to prominence as a songwriter, co-writing Ryan Cabrera’s 2005 hit “Shine On.” He then spend a decade pursuing his own career as an artist which lead him to his debut into the CCM music industry by way of a song called Rescue Story... Rescue Story was recorded by Zach Williams and received a grammy nom in 2020 for Christian Contemporary song of the year. Immediately following, Ripp's song Jericho reached Billboard #1 as an independent artist in 2021 and lead the charge for Ripps new found career in CCM. He followed Jericho with another #1 Billboard hit called “Fill My Cup” in (2022). He just began the release his new album "The Great Wide Open Wild" set to fully drop in the fall of 2024. The first song “Loves Got A Way” is out May 24th!

In other news... Ripp and his writing partner Ethan Hulse started Holly Street Records in 2020 to help a friend Rachael Lampa with her comeback in to CCM music. After a 20 year hiatus she returned with "Perfectly Loved" (cowritten by Ripp & Hulse) and was the first official Holly Street Records release. Perfectly Loved reached Media Base #1 in 2022 and anchored Rachael as one of the female staples in the genre. The song won breakout single of the year at the KLove fan awards 2023. Ripp says "announcing Rachael Lampa as the winner of the breakout single of the year might have been my favorite moment in my entire music career."
