Aftermath is a grunge and alternative rock band which got underway back in September 2006 when Faheem got his hands on transforming his plan of starting a rock band into reality.
In a year from that, Sakib joined as the drummer. Later in 2009, Navid stepped in as the vocalist, and last year, Muntasir got himself the place of the bassist of the band and this halts as the current line up as yet.

There Aftermath was set straight and the amalgamation of these 'math-heads' effectively and successfully began stressing on their objective, that is: to give you not just a song but a story, that will speak of unspoken feelings and thoughts. Their mutual understanding of each other's musicality further works in creation and emergence of their very own songs. Their first released original track "Shurjapekkha" came out in the album 'Mixed Tape' under the label of Faheem Music, then the second one, "Matir Roud" came out in the album 'Play it Now'. In 2010, Aftermath became the winner of Radio ABC's poll-based campus band competition 'Campus Campus Band of the Year'.

The chief inspirations of the band drive down from Pearl Jam, ACDC, Pink Floyd, Audioslave, Creed, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus and it greatly admires bands like Cryptic Fate, Nemesis, Breach, Black, Artcell, and Warfaze.
Naming the band 'Aftermath' is simply a reflection of the efforts of this bunch of people to raise a voice through music, against the society's suppression of rights and humanity as a resultant impact or consequence of such phenomena happening over time.

Most of their songs are aimed to speak of the need and desire of the human race to speak up against wrongs of despotism of the ordinary lives and bring about a societal change, as its 'aftermath'.
