Aarhus Symfoniorkester is the symphony orchestra of the city of Aarhus, Denmark, renamed from Aarhus By-Orkester in 1983. Chief conductors over time are Ole Schmidt (1978-1985), Norman Del Mar (1985-1988), Eri Klas (1991-1996), James Loughran (1996-2003), Giancarlo Andretta (2003-2012), and, since 2015, Marc Soustrot. Since 2007 the orchestra has it's own concert hall, Symfonisk Sal, in Musikhuset Aarhus.
