An impending deadline was the starting line of this band's course. In May 2003, six students from a modern music school in Piraeus were given 48 hours to come up with, rehearse and finally perform a 3 hour long live set in a newly founded live music club. After the success of the whole venture the guys automatically got the nickname: "The 48 Hour Band" and so “the 48 Hours” became official since the band members liked the symbolism referring to the frenzy of the modern urban life.
